Personally, I’d rather take on more responsibility to make up for what the incompetant person lacks or else just leave them to their incompetance and move on. So I guess my approach to LL’s last statement would be different too. Heh.

I wonder what musical I should get for the next blockade?

1) In my high school’s production, the kid who played Riff had been hit by a car as a young kid–as a result, he was able to do some very unusual things with his legs. During the part when the Jets sang “We’re disturbed, we’re disturbed, etc.”, he would dance around like a maniac and actually kick himself in the head, which lent great creedance to his claims of being disturbed.

2) That was the first production that I succesfully led a coup against a member of the production staff–I was part of the stage crew and effectively deposed the stage manager, who was incompetent. A couple years later, I did the same thing for a show in college, only I was the stage manager and overthrew the incompetent director…hmmm, I guess I’ll have to be on the lookout for incompetent royals!
